A true bucket list destination!
One of the main tourist attractions in Cambodia is Angkor Wat, the largest religious monument in the world! A national treasure, proudly displayed on their state flag. The Angkor Wat is an incredible architectural accomplishment, with brilliantly intricate structures and a multitude of religious monuments dating back to 12th century, and once the centre of the Angkor Empire.
The people of Cambodia are renown for being some of the most friendly you will ever encounter across the globe. Visitors are often overwhelmed with the warmth of their welcome. Hospitality and hellos will great you everywhere you turn. The gentle manner of the Khamers is tangible from everyone you meet.
Showing gentle humorous emotion, reflecting with empathy is typical of the people you will meet in Cambodia. Warmth and smiles will be met with great national warmth. Angry bouts of emotion are frowned upon greatly in this amazing country, but the need to feel cross simply evaporates around such a warm and caring nation.
The famous apsara dancers are spectacular (you can see these on our tour here) traditional Cambodian music, and shows are plentiful, there are many ways to completely immerse yourself amongst the colourful and vibrant local culture. Sovannaphum Theatre in Phnom Penh puts on regular spectacular performances, with workshops in shadow puppetry available. Cambodian Living Arts also produces a series of traditional dance shows.

The Phnom Tamao Wildlife Rescue Centre: (Excerpt from the PTWRC Website)
“Phnom Tamao Wildlife Rescue Center (PTWRC), Wildlife Alliance cares for and rehabilitates animals rescued from the illegal wildlife trade. Take an exclusive behind the scenes tour of the Center and meet the animals rescued from the illegal wildlife trade.
Animals that are saved by the Wildlife Rapid Rescue Team (WRRT) are relocated to the Centre and each individual is assessed for release based on their health and strength to survive independently. this wonderful place is home to over 1,200 animals, no animal in need is ever turned away, which is just fantastic. Over 200,000 visitors each year come to PTWRC to see the rescued wildlife and learn about conservation efforts in Cambodia.”
Whatever you do, you must spend time walking through the lush jungles of Cambodia, it is truly one of the most remarkable experiences. Kep National Park provides one of the best accessible and most ambivalent options to do so, we highly recommend a visit! Covering 50 square kilometres in the centre of Kep Province, it is classified as low land tropical forest and consists of three main Phnoms (Khmer for mountains) – Krasaing, KepToch, and Kep Thom. Offering beautiful views of the nearby sea and surrounding countryside, the park is a great place to go for a hike and enjoy this natural and currently undeveloped oasis. Take some time to admire the charming landscape and absolute bygone era atmosphere of this stunning coastal city, then why not get tanned on the beach with refreshing drinks at your fingertips, swim or sunbathe on the beach and enjoy this tranquil paradise.
