We hold a fully bonded ATOL licence. ATOL stands for Air Travel Organiser’s Licence, and is the only Government licensing and financial protection scheme for air holidays and flights sold by tour operators. We are constantly monitored by the Civil Aviation Authority, who provide the ATOL licence, to ensure protection to customers from losing money or being stranded abroad if we go bust. This means you are covered at every stage of your journey, and you are even covered if you have paid for your journey and not yet departed. The policy will also include repatriation if required, arising from the cancellation or curtailment of your travel arrangements due to the insolvency of Emperor Tours Ltd. Accommodation

The hotels shown with the itineraries and used throughout Emperor Tours holidays are all high quality and located in the heart of city centres. We have carefully chosen our selection of hotels for location, cleanliness, attentive service and comfortable surroundings. All accommodation has private en-suite facilities and most clients are surprised by the very high standard of facilities and service offered. Emperor Tours has no direct control over the daily management of the hotels, and in the event that we have to change hotels due to circumstances beyond our control, we guarantee every effort will be made to substitute hotels of the same standard.

We must stress that the facilities of some hotels in more remote regions may be more basic. Emperor Tours has made every effort to ensure it is of the highest standard within that region, but be prepared to accept lower standards in return for experiencing the spectacular scenery in the area.

Food

The Far East has a wide diversity of ethnic groups and eating habits. In general, however, it is recognised the relationship of diet to good health, and belief that the ideal diet is one that stresses both diversity and balance. The restaurants we use through Emperor Tours provide traditional food, prepared and served to a very high quality standard. Meals offered will have a good variety of meat, vegetables and fish to suit you, whatever your preference may be.

Airlines

Wherever possible we try to use direct flights to the Far East. However, for some destinations, when there is no availability, or when direct flight prices are beyond the value of tour price, we will use indirect flights. Where possible we will always consider the comfort of our customers and try to book indirect flights with a minimum connection. We can also arrange departure and return from regional airports, but due to the fact that no airlines fly direct from regional airports, these flights will involve connections. Domestic flights are with all major carriers. Most airlines no longer use the Russian Ilyushin and Tupolev aircraft, and are now equipped with modern Airbus and Boeing jets. Most domestic journeys are no longer than an average of 2 hours. All tour prices are based on economy class flights – upgrades to Premium Economy, Business Class and First Class are available upon request.

Data Protection

In order to process your booking and to ensure that your travel arrangements run smoothly and meet your requirements we need to use the information you provide such as name, address and any special needs/dietary requirements etc.

We take full responsibility for ensuring that proper security measures are in place to protect your information. We must pass the information on to the relevant suppliers of your travel arrangements such as airlines, hotels, transport companies etc. The information may also be provided to security or credit checking companies, public authorities such as customs/immigration if required by them, or as required by law.

Additionally, where your holiday is outside the European Economic Area (EEA), controls on data protection in your destination may not be as strong as the legal requirements in this country.
We will not however, pass any information onto any person not responsible for part of your travel arrangements. This applies to any sensitive information that you give to us such as details of disabilities, or dietary/religious requirements. If we cannot pass this information to the relevant suppliers, whether in the EEA or not, we cannot provide your booking. In making this booking, you consent to this information being passed on to the relevant persons.
